Whether preparing food for large or small gatherings or for individuals in the community, organizations need to know required or recommended safe food handling practices. Organizations can obtain information from their local health department concerning training it may provide, and other requirements or recommendations that may apply to food activities.
Food safety cannot be assumed. Serious food hazards may exist in a kitchen that appears to be very clean! Knowledge, communication, and correct food handling practices are needed to help ensure that the food served is safe.
